The Millar Western BBQ is just a small glimpse of how the forestry sector branches into the community.

Each summer I have experienced different areas of the mill learning new skills and expanding my knowledge.

Visual impact assessments are used to determine if the visual quality objective target of an area will be met if the proposed harvested activities take place. Visual quality objectives (VQO) are assigned to areas based on how visually sensitive a landscape is.

Today I wanted to give you some insight about how forestry has been a part of my life while living in Whitecourt, Alberta.
