FPAC available for comment on Budget 2025 and implications for Canada’s forest sector
Following the release of the federal budget, Forest Products Association of Canada (FPAC) will be available for media interviews to discuss how Budget 2025 addresses the competitiveness, investment, and trade challenges facing Canada’s forest sector.
FPAC’s spokesperson will offer expert perspective on:
• The importance of timely implementation of Clean Technology and Clean Electricity Investment Tax Credits (ITCs) for biomass projects;
• Support for sector employees and businesses impacted by U.S. tariffs and duties on Canadian softwood lumber; and
• Practical steps to improve regulatory efficiency and restore investor confidence.
FPAC can also comment on how federal measures may influence housing affordability, rural employment, and community stability through greater use of Canadian wood products.
