Kimberley Berube-Boyle: L’inventaire forestier et ses secrets bien cachés: FPAC 2022 Green Dream Internship Program

Depuis mon début en foresterie, j’ai constamment été prise dans une relation amour-haine avec l’inventaire forestier. « Le moins possible » était la réponse donnée lorsqu’on me demandait si j’étais prête à aider sur le suivi après coupe lors de mes stages.  Les mouches, la chaleur, les longues heures de marche, les terrains accidentés, les pentes… pas toujours amusant comme terrain de jeu. Mais, parfois, même l’obscurité garde des secrets bien cachés… tout comme l’inventaire forestier. Grâce à mes quelques journées sur l’inventaire cet été, j’ai découvert des paysages à couper le souffle. Parfois ces paysages duraient le temps d’une parcelle, mais autrefois ces paysages absolument magnifiques persistaient le temps d’une journée complète et devenaient notre principale source de motivation.
