Beautiful forestry, starry nights in absence of man made light, and good stories around a campfire - My camping experience at Elliot Lake is always unforgettable. A wonderful tradition that my family and I have been doing since I was a baby. Come along with me as I show you some images of my experience here and how my position in Green Dream has allowed me to better appreciate my experience in this gorgeous environment.

As I sit here, I truly have a deeper understanding for the importance of the sustainable practices that the Canadian forestry industry are implementing to ensure that future generations can appreciate the natural beauty this country has to offer. The forestry industry provides numerous daily essentials which many individuals use without even recognizing. Once I better understood the demand of the forestry industry in Canada, I then realized the true need for sustainable practices to be put in place to ensure Canada’s resources are being used responsibly and with a plan to ensure Canada can continue to provide to the forestry industry for generations to come.

Resolute Forest Product’s ensures that their sustainable strategy aligns with the United Nations’ (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), as well, their sustainability reporting follows SASB Standards. Resolute Forest Products also works hard to ensure their greenhouse gas emissions are in line with science-based targets. It’s important to understand that as one individual you can make a difference but when a large organization or an entire industry decides to change for the better, the world can continue to provide a beautiful home for everyone.

I will keep this post short as I would like to get back to enjoying the outdoors, but I would once again like to highlight the amazing work and progress the Canadian forestry industry has made to ensure everyone can enjoy the best of what Canada has to offer.
