From researching companies across the country to accepting the offer, this is how I landed my co-op placement with Canfor Pulp, and why it was a good decision.

It was unusually hot in Nova Scotia for late April when I was packing for a flight to Alberta. Recently finishing my first year of Forestry school, I was eager to go experience work in a different province.

Visual impact assessments are used to determine if the visual quality objective target of an area will be met if the proposed harvested activities take place. Visual quality objectives (VQO) are assigned to areas based on how visually sensitive a landscape is.

Today I wanted to give you some insight about how forestry has been a part of my life while living in Whitecourt, Alberta.
