Skills Awards for Indigenous Youth
Through the Skills Awards for Indigenous Youth, Forest Products Association of Canada (FPAC) and the Canadian Council of Forest Ministers are proud to jointly recognize and celebrate selected Indigenous youth for their skills development and career aspirations in the forest products industry. These awards are given to two individuals that exemplify the qualities of strong academic standing, commitment to the forest products industry, and a demonstrated commitment to their Indigenous community.
On May 9, 2019, Forest Products Association of Canada (FPAC) and the Canadian Council of Forest Ministers (CCFM), were proud to present the Skills Awards for Indigenous Youth at a luncheon hosted by FPAC in Vancouver, BC. The two recipients of the award were Lance Black, Anicinape of Abitibi, ON, and Zachary Julian, Mi’Kmaq First Nation, NS. Read the full press release here.
