Forest Products Association of Canada

Skills Awards for Aboriginal Youth

Through the Skills Awards for Aboriginal Youth, Forest Products Association of Canada (FPAC) and the Canadian Council of Forest Ministers are proud to jointly recognize and celebrate selected Aboriginal youth for their skills development and career aspirations in the forest products industry. These awards are given to two individuals that exemplify the qualities of strong academic standing, commitment to the forest products industry, and a demonstrated commitment to their Aboriginal community.

On November 22, 2017, Forest Products Association of Canada (FPAC) and the Canadian Council of Forest Ministers (CCFM), were proud to present the Skills Awards for Aboriginal Youth at the Conference Board of Canada’s National Summit on Indigenous Youth and Natural Resource Development in Calgary. The two recipients of the award were Isabelle Males of Temiskaming First Nation from New Liskeard, Ontario, and Tristan Flood of Matachewan First Nation from North Bay, Ontario.
